    Yellowbelly....what

This girl is defiantly a yellowbelly, I produced her out of a pastel x ivory pairing but her mom is a dinker project of mine and I am trying to figure out what the extra gene is in her. I am unsure if this yellowbelly has an extra gene. What do you think? See anything special?

It is going to be difficult to pick out the extra gene if it is your "dinker" project, unless you suspect that it is a gene that is already known and you think you have just a new line. Perhaps a photo of the mom could give us something visual to compare the hatchling to, YB 's pattern can vary from snake to snake and at first glance she looks like a normal YB to me. Only way to be sure is further breeding to isolate the gene.

    This X2

I hatched a clutch of YB het Hypo this year and there are a couple sisters that look completely unrelated if you judged by their pattern. She's a good looking animal though.

Defiantly something going on with mom just not sure what yet. Here are a few other odd babies that she has laid over the past three seasons: (there were average looking babies in the clutches also, these were the ones I thought were special) I am trying to pair mom with her black pewter son in the picture below to see what happens but he is not cooperating! I paired her to an ivory last year so YB complex is probably out unless I am just very unlucky. I have had a few others mention vanilla but that new YB makes me think something else. Just wanted to see if anything screamed out at anyone else.

Some of her more normal looking babies (for their morphs of course).

There are more but you get the idea.

I would try to go the opposite direction for this one and work on breeding mom to a "normal dinker" baby if you have one. It would make it easier to pin point the gene, rather then mixing other morphs into it right away. Looks interesting though, keep us posted.

I do not have a normal baby out of mom that I thought was anything special. Actually, she has only ever had 1 normal baby and it was female, it was out of her second clutch. All of the others have been morphs.

Yes, You should change your plans in order to find out what it is. It s pretty clear you have something here. but what?? so you have to stop breeding the weird looking animals to super forms. And make a pairing with a normal to get rid of the yellow belly. To shoot at a super will also required to avoid ivories.

Really nice stuff you have here. I don t kno if it s a new morph but i m pretty , you have something genetic here. congrats and keep us update
