F/T Fuzzies or F/T Small Mice?

Hello! The pet store near me sells the Arctic Mice brand frozen feeder mice, which apparently comes in 4 sizes (at least this is what they have at my store): pinkies, fuzzies, small mouse, large mouse.

My BP is 3.5 months old. The small mouse size seemed appropriate for her, but whenever I offer this size, she strikes/coils and attempts to eat it but seems like she can't. She ends up leaving them on the ground and I have to throw them out. She can eat the fuzzies easily but I believe they are much too small to keep her happy.

The breeder fed her live small mice, but they are not readily available near me. I also don't want my snake to get hurt by a live mouse.

    What should I do?

Try a rat fuzzy, they are about the size of a hopper/weaned mouse but have a better nutrition ratio than a mouse of the same size. You can also feed multiple mouse fuzzies for a bit until the snake is feeling up to a small mouse.

I would try two mouse fuzzies, it sounds like your snake should be on mouse hoppers but they are not available.

If you're on Facebook try to find a local (to you) rodent breeder who offers f/t feeders. They are usually a lot cheaper than the Arctic Mice brand.

Try finding somewhere else, many people complain about ball pythons refusing the arctic brand.

As far as nutritional value........ Gram per gram isn't enough of a difference, feed what they will eat.
