"High Yellow" Super Fire

I'm looking a picking up a Super Fire male in order to add some Fire to one of my projects. I personally prefer the look of a Super Fire with lots of yellow on the back however I am not sure if this is an indicator of the quality of the parents(bright and reduced pattern). Does anyone know if the yellowing is an indicator one way or the other or is it just a roll of the dice?

The yellow is not an indicator of the parents at all and is completely random, two fires can produce solid white super in one clutch and some with yellow in the very next.

If you want quality reduced pattern fire that is where you will have to start by buying fires that are reduced pattern.

sulfers tend to throw supers with more color than fire, flame, or lemonback. all of which are pretty similar.

a quality fire is very subjective and also need to be oriented to what you want to do with it.
let s say you like bright and reduce pattern but are those kind of fire give you the best fireflies? No, the best firefly have strong black and vivid yellow.
Quality fires for me clean the noise: make combos clean, i sometimes like them busy , sometimes reduce depending on what i want to produce. bright or dark also depends: if i plan to add a yellow belly in the mix i prefer to use darker fire.

So if you tell us your project we might be more able to give you appropriate suggestion for you breeder male. But for sure bbuying a super fire is a bad idea because it doesn t sho the quality of the fires alleles involved.

For what i know the fire pin are really cool : i have one big girl home ( she is not mine but i breed her for my partner) and i love her ghosty colors ... insane , i remember i asked him if she wasn t het. ghost ! So i clearly see the super Phantom fire pin project down the road. And for that i will chose dark and clean fires. because the super phantom brighten up very fast and are not so nice after 2 years. ( i only saw one super phantom pin so it might be that specific snake problem but i guess it s not. any way it s a cool project !!!
