    My first breeding season

    hey everyone,

I thought A little up-date on my first breeding season.

I have seen the following locks,

    Clown X Leopard
    Clown X Orange Ghost
Calico Super Pastel X Lesser Pastel
HGWG poss. Vanilla X Super Fire (seems like a sure way to see if the male has Vanilla or not)
    HGWG poss. Vanilla X Mojave
Pastel het. Piebald X Pastel het. Piebald
Fire +something poss. het. Hypo X Normal het. Hypo

I feel like that is a pretty good start for a first breeding season

That's a good line up though:

    Clown X Mojave
    Clown X Super Fire
Fire +something poss. het. Hypo X Orange Ghost
    HGWG poss. Vanilla X Leopard

Just my thoughts, at least with the hypo you would know for sure the clutch is 100%

hey, yeah you are right about the het. Hypo part but that would mean putting of the long double recessive project and since that is a long project I desided to get that started soon as possible also knowing the hatchlings can't be anything else as I got the Orange Ghost female as a hatchling and she has never been paired before.

Mojave het. clowns and Fire het. Clowns aren't that expansive and I could buy them, the Leopard het. clown on the other hand is pretty expansive still, matter of fact I haven't seen any being offered at shows here in the Netherlands (neither have I seen dh. Candied Clowns being offered here).

And I really like the HGWG Mojave so that was/is one of the breeding I knew I wanted to do ever since I got the Mojave female last June.

And the HGWG X Super Fire is like I said the most one breeding I can figure out if the HGWG has Vanilla or not.

Thanks for the idea's though, gives me somethign to think about for next year (y)
