    When to Start Pairing Again?

I have a female Mojave that laid an 11 egg clutch on 7/2/15. How long should I wait to begin pairing her again? She has been eating regularly and is back up to the weight she was before laying.

    That's more up to her.
You can pair whenever you want.

Re: When to Start Pairing Again?

I had three that laid in July. I decided I would wait 5 months just. One hadn't yet recovered all of her weight until last week so she hasn't been paired yet. That said I have heard from one member on the forum that they had a female lay two clutches with a 9 month period so they may go sooner. I just thought they deserved a longer rest.

Re: When to Start Pairing Again?

I just wasn't sure if there was an amount of time that is required for it to be safe to begin pairing again after a clutch is laid. I don't want to risk the health of the snake by starting again too soon.

Re: When to Start Pairing Again?

I usually wait 5/6 month but there are other conditions the female MUST have gained back her previous pre-breeding weight + some more.
