Can I hold my BP on feeding day?
Is it alright to hold my ball python on feeding day? Or is it better or just let them be until night comes to feed them? If I do happen to forget it's feeding day and hold them, is okay to just go ahead and feed them like normal or should i wait until the next day? (Sorry if this question has been asked multiple times, bit i tried searching for it and nothing came up. Thanks!)

Re: Can I hold my BP on feeding day?
I don't hold mine on feeding day simply because a lot of them won't eat if handled that recent. You can go ahead and offer food if you forget though, they may eat anyways.

Depends on the animal.
I don't have a problem with holding mine.

mine dont seem to mind being held then fed just be sure to let them alone after they eat

It depends how picky of an eater he is and how stressed he gets when you hold him. My guy is such a pig, he eats no matter what. I do try to leave him alone on feeding day and the next day, but every snake is different.

Yeah, I hold mine on feeding day, Which is today, and right now, Popeye's being a pain on my keyboard... Just leave them be after feeding, and you're good.

I defrost the F/T in the same room as the snakes - if I open the tub on feeding day I'm going to get bitten by my little savages.

I have the same defrosting method here. If I open a tub on feeding day, I make sure I'm on high alert if I'm not going in rat first.

it depends on the snake, what they're doing at the moment and honestly, my mood. i don't hold them if their outta the hide and on the hunt. or sometimes I just don't wanna hold them or play.
but i def. don't hold them once the first rat starts warming up. my snakes are friendly, but they're hungry and have mouths that can bite.

My snake is okay with being held. I just don't hold her after I start defrosting the prey. She's never bitten me before and I don't want to tarnish that record haha.
