    How often do you handle?

How often does everyone handle their BPs? My kids and I get them out daily...each of the 8 Snakes. One snake per person is the rule.
My super pastel, Phasma, is a shy girl and I think it's helping her shyness but very aware to have successes with her daily and not push it.

Almost daily. I try to get mine out for at least a few minutes every day, with the exception of the day after she eats. I feed in the evenings, so If I feed on Monday evening, I don't bother her at all on Tuesday. By the time I get home from work on Wednesday, I feel she's okay to get out. I have her out anywhere from 2 minutes to 30 minutes. Sometimes she may just sit on my lap in a coil and just sit there, other times, she will explore a little.

About 3~4 times a week now. I'm refraining from taking Cake out as often as I used to, since he hasn't been eating... I don't know whether handling less will help him with that or not, since he is clearly on some kind of seasonal fasting... But still doing that.

I handle Vigil (dumeril's boa) quite frequently. She only eats once every 12 days or so, and I handle her almost all the 8~9 days between meals.

I'd say about 3-4 times a week each, for the BP's. My CK girl I don't handle at all except to clean her cage - she has health issues, so I want to eliminate as much reason for stress as possible. My male CK I used to handle 3-4 times a week, but he's been self-brumating himself lately, and only just started to come out of it, so he hasn't been getting handled lately. I don't handle within a day of feeding, unless there's a mess that needs to be cleaned up, and I try not to handle the day before feeding to make sure they're not stressed.

Re: How often do you handle?

I usually handle my BP Noki every other day at varying times. Sometimes I'll have her out for 15 minutes on the bed or take her with me and try to do homework or catch up on some anime. She's always so active though. I think she fell off my bed three times on total while I wasn't looking before (put her on my bed while cleaning the cage.) And if I try to my homework she'll try to wrap all around my arm, ha! I sometimes handle the day of feeding, but only at least 5 hours before. And then I don't touch her the day after.

Most of my ball pythons get held at least 2 times a week for spot cleaning and a quick look over. That being said, I very rarely take them out to handle for lengthy periods of time. I currently have about 90 reptiles, about 45 or so being ball pythons. If I am holding a snake to let them have a few minutes outside the enclosure, it is usually not one of my balls. Maybe a boa, carpet, antaresia, colubrid, etc.

My adult BP's; I handle the males 2-3 times a week, mostly while transferring them to the females cages. The females get handled once a week when they're not gravid. Can't forget the babies, they get handled while cleaning the bins and any time the kids come into the room (which is almost every day).

Re: How often do you handle?

Depends on the ball I handle precious and Gary daily except feeding day and a day after and usually every other day for the rest of mine to keep them tamed out

They are all handled at least once weekly for cleanings.
Other than that it depends on how much time I have.
I have two rescues that would let you hold them all day long.
Especially Q-Ti, the one that I have posted the photos of that bad belly burn.
