Opinions on this Enchi Desert

I been wanting to add enchi to my collection and just come across this guy .. the price is a steal regardless, however I have not worked with either of these genes in the past and know nothing about their quality or what to look for in either one ... Just looking for some opinions on this snake from some who are familiar with these genes (specifically enchi as that is the gene I'm more interested in) Thanks!

Make a great looking pet, breeder not so much.

Female Desert and Desert combos that you will produce will be hard to move due to their issues and males will likely be as hard to move unless the buyer is looking for a pet, while they still make great combos people who intend to breed are not interested in adding animals with the desert genes as they often end up almost giving the females away for almost nothing.

It's nice looking animal and the Enchi gene is a great gene to work with.

Thanks Deborah, The only thing that jumps out to me about this snake is I like the headstamp and the fact that it has enchi in it ... The offer is for $50 ... The question I need to answer to myself, would it be worth my time to buy it and isolate the enchi gene after a clutch and then get rid of everything with desert (as I was not interested in this gene to begin with ) or shall I just wait for to find something else? Hmmmm

Female deserts are infertile for the most part so it makes them hard to sell. No one wants females because they cannot breed and no one wants to breed males in the off chance they get females. It is a nice looking BP if you are looking for a pet.

Honestly if you like reduced stuff (I know I do) and want to make an investment (does not mean expensive but something that people are interested in as buyers) I would go with either a combo enchi like Pastel Lesser Enchi even a Super Enchi or a Enchi OD.

Like I said most people have abandoned the project.

I find it unethical to intentionally breed something that is known for a potential risk of health issues or infertility to some of the clutch, just to get something I want in a cheaper manner. Funny that you mention and Enchi OD .. that's another gene I have been wanting to pick up, ....... Gee, sure wish I knew where I could find someone who's going to have a clutch of Enchi Orange Dream in the oven .. lol

i agree with deborah, invest a little more and pick up a male who can shoot at good looking combos. enchi OD, enchi lesser pastel, Enchi lesser YB, super enchi something....also those enchi boys will give you shots at beautiful stuff
