    3D background

I am looking to get a 3d background. My tank is 30 long 12 high. any suggestions on the best place t get one? I have found an exo terra that I like but it is 18 long 24 high, could this be turned on its side so the 24 is the long and can I just add another piece to fill the gap it will leave?

If you are creative and have a bit of time you can make a really awesome one yourself. There are a bunch of youtube videos that describe how to carve them out of Styrofoam. Seems pretty easy, you just cut out and file down the foam to look how you want, then color with paint or other supplies. I was surprised how they turned out.

This is what im gonna be doing soon... Get a couple cans of the great stuff expanding foam and im gonna apply a nice generous layer to the back and 2 sides of my tank... Shape, smooth out and paint... Of couse ill seperate it into 3 pieces so they can be removed for cleaning purposes. One of pur members has made i think 5 of these backgrounds and they all looked great

What type of paint is safe, and what can I use to adhere it to the tank?

I'm not sure if he sells small ones or singles but might be worth checking? I got my 3D backgrounds for my proline stack from Proline (Constrictors NW - http://www.constrictorsnw.com/cagessupply.html)

They aren't exactly cheap but I really like the way the look and the snakes seem to enjoy
