It's me again. I was feeding Kayly (who is eating perfectly so that's not an issue) and I noticed that the inside of her mouth was a little dark. I think they're supposed to be pink and hers seems too dark for comfort. Also, her breathing isn't audible (I made sure to check) but it is rather inconsistent. Her warm side stays between 88°-90° so I think that's okay. My only issue is that I can't seem to get the humidity to get any higher than 30% and usually not even over 20%. I've tried misting but I have to spray a LOT and that gets it to 40%-50% but only lasts about 20 minutes, if that. I live in western Colorado and it's winter so the climate is extremely dry. I think that's where all my problems are coming from. I have a sphagnum based substrate and also have a good portion of the lid covered so I'm not sure why it doesn't stay longer. I have the water bowl under the heat lamp and everything. That's all the pointers I've found and I'm following all of them. Please help me figure something out. Also, if anyone knows of a vet I can get to near me for her, let me know. I'm in Grand Junction and have limited mobility as I don't own a car.![]()
