    Popeye's Quest

As promised, Popeye's Quest begins. It will be a journal covering Popeye's discovery of what lies beyond his cage, and hopefully, will entertain.

Entry 1: The Love of His Life (09/01/2016)
Today, Popeye left the confines of his humble abode in a bid to discover more of "The Out". His ultimate goal was to discover the source of the food that came to him once a week. He hoped to discover the secrets of where the food came from. But his first outing saw him fall in love. Encountering a female Glossy Black Python (whom you and I know as my PC charger) Popeye was entranced by the creature. Quick to act, Popeye proclaimed his love by forming his body into a heart: "I love you," he said "Give us a chance!".

Unfortunately, he was promptly rejected. World crashing down around him, our hero left, tail between his metaphorical legs, cursing himself for not showering that morning. Seeking quiet and loneliness, Popeye made his way to "The Quiet Corner".

Then he spotted it. A beautiful black handbag. A fitting gift for the woman of his dreams. "I'll get her that!", he thought.

Then he remembered. Remembered the coldness with which she turned him down. Remembered that he was not good enough for her. "It's no use," our hero though, "I'll never be good enough.". With his heart broken, Popeye crept behind what, in another world, may have been the bag in which he and Glossy raised their children, seeking nothing but to be alone, away from the harsh realities of the world.

    To be continued...

There you have it folks. The first installment in Popeye's quest may not have been very happy, but it will make him stronger. Tell me what you think below.

PS: If you were observant and noticed the titles of the books, yes, I was a huge fan of Pokemon. And no, that is not my handbag, rather my sisters.

    Kind regards,
    Herpo

    Loved it!

    Funny story.
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.
