Uhm, yeah, snakes in a chlorinated pool? Good idea. Now let's go play with the feeder bunnies and snuggle with the Retics!

Compadres, it is imperative that we crush the freedom fighters before the start of the rainy season. And remember, a shiny new donkey for whomever brings me the head of Colonel Montoya.

Hopefully it eats him and someone else that knows what they are doing ends up taking care of it.

By then the poor thing would probably be so shy and mistreated it'd make a strike for anything that came near it. I've seen a lot of RTBs react badly with poor handlers/owners, I wouldn't be surprised if retics were much worse.

If it wasn't safe for humans to swim in for 3 plus hours, we wouldn't do it. I'd assume it's ok for a snake to be in there for short periods of time as well. Temp would be a big issue tho, eh?

Yeah, because humans always exercise good judgement and don't do things that aren't safe.

Godfather, we're also much less succeptible to chlorine, and are much larger than a snake. The levels necessary to clean a pool are far above the levels needed to irritate a snake....and god forbid it have a scale scrape or other injury. It's like how we're not supposed to have snakes around chlorine bleach when cleaning, or the fumes can harm them....same effect, only the fumes are less concentrated, and the solution is much weaker since it's in such a large body of water. The combination chemicals, chemical fumes and water temps could really hurt this animal, especially if it tried to drink, or got spooked and jumped into the water.
