MAN!! :police: i got a dang speeding ticket on my way to work this morning. and not only that, but i couldn't find my current proof of insurance because it was in a different bag than i had today. (i don't keep it in the car because once my car was stolen and of course it was in there and the insurance company was like, ok just give us the info off of your card... ) so now i have to go to court and the whole deal. which, ok yes, i have done that whole thing plenty of times before, but this time i probably won't be able to get out of the speeding ticket because i'll just be lucky to get out of the insurance deal. aaargh! not my preferred way to start the day! :?

Sorry to hear that. If it makes you feel any better, my brother recently got a ticket for going 96 in a 60. I doubt yours is as bad as that, I dont know anyone who has gotten a ticket worse than that.

Doh! Sorry to hear about that. My worst was 98 in a 65. The cop was going the other way on the highway and made a u-turn in the grass to come get me

I've never had a ticket, but that's because I'm a paranoid driver. Worst driving experience I ever had was driving home from a rave in Detroit back to Dayton, without my license on me in a car that didn't belong to me, all because I was the only one sober and the whole trip was planned badly.
I was so paranoid that I think I drove 45 all the way home so I wouldn't be pulled over for speeding. Little old ladies were flipping me off because I wasn't driving fast enough.

Nope .. went to court and got the fine reduced to $100 and no points The Judge must've been in a good mood that day.

wow, yeah seriously. i always go to court to try to get the fine reduced and no points, which i have always been successful at, but i haven't been ticketed going that fast either. there was one three month period a few years back though where i got so many tickets that the judge started to recognize me. that was not so good. after that i slowed down a little. well, for a while anyhow
