The set up is in a Showcase Cage plastic terrarium with plenty of hides, enrichment, and a large water dish. The substrate is Eco Earth Coconut Fiber. It is heated by a thermostat connected to a ceramic heat emmiter. The temperature ranges from 78F on the cool side to 85F on the hot side. No spot is more than 87F surface temperature as read by a temp gun. The humidity has been staying between 50-70% depending on impending sheds.
He does like to curl up super tight in one of his hides, so thats actually a big possibility. The area doesn't seem to bother him when I touch it or put pressure on it, so I don't know if that helps.
