Thanks I'm headed to get a rat.

I used a f/t mouse to entice a king snake out of a speaker when he took an unauthorized slither a few years ago.

Make sure your snake is all the way out of the couch before you give it the rat; my little dude almost managed to drag himself and the mouse backward into the speaker to eat it.
