I too use Reptile Basic hides. They work great and the few times my snakes have decides the outside corners were places to hang their butt over and poop on the side of the hide, liquid dish soap like dawn and hot water followed by Chlorhexadine worked wonders. I tend to keep my snakes and beardie cages VERY clean as they get lots of outside time and I don't want a poop covered snake or lizard lounging on me or my bed or couch
