Yes, you will still have good heat transfer in that way. Just use the foil tape on your edges of the pad. You will want to make sure there is no pressure on the probe itself. Worse case scenario elevate the enclosure to relieve the pressure off the probe. Maybe even a soft cloth under the uth itself. Heat rises so you should be ok. Just don't overdo the cloth bc the uth should have adequate ventilation too.Originally Posted by michael.cser20
