    Buying Ball Pythons

What are some trusty sites to order Pythons from? Or is it better to just wait for a reptile expo?

Everybody has their favorite and will probably post. But for starters you can click on the ads right here on the site.

The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

As Reinz said, this site is a good place to start. There are many good breeders out there, large and small, so you'll probably get a ton of recommendations. Depending on where you live, there may even be some near you!

As far as online vs in-person purchases, it's completely up to you. Personally, I like the expanded selection available online. Some prefer the experience of having an animal in their own hands before they decide. Ultimately, that part is up to you.

Best of luck to you on your search, and feel free to ask any questions you have along the way!

    Re: Buying Ball Pythons

I've purchased from a handful of online breeders over the last few months, and I've had a wide range of experiences. One of which I outright refuse to ever deal with again, but I'm not looking to call anyone out publicly.

However, I've had an amazing experience with one specific breeder. Justin Kobylka. He's been extremely quick to respond, has great communication and went out of his way to answer a ton of questions that he didn't need to even acknowledge. I'd highly recommend purchasing from him if he has what you're looking for.

Check Faunaclassifieds. Lots of good breeders there as well as some scam artists but that's going to be anywhere. If you find someone you like, check the BOI page there to see about their feedback. I've had great luck there. If you are after BPs in particular, I've heard Garrett DeMeyer from Royal Constrictor Designs is a stand up guy with good animals. I haven't used him personally though.

    Re: Buying Ball Pythons

There's a good amount of great users on here that are small breeders. Check the classifieds sections on this forum.

Expos are ok but you should ask a lot of questions to make sure that they actually hatched the snakes and aren't just simply reselling them.

Either way you choose to go, ask questions, do your research and you'll find someone you're happy with. Check the Fauna BOI (board of inquiry) to see what experiences other people had with that breeder.
