    Super picky eater

My yearling bp is super in fact he only eats a couple times. I got him as a hatchling buts he's only about 230g he hasn't lost any from his last meal. Should I try live with him or wait it out

How long have you had him? I'm guessing by the wording that you're feeding f/t.
1- have you checked your husbandry, does he have proper temps/humidity/hides?
2- is the food warmed up enough?
3- are you feeding proper size?
4- when was the last time he ate for you, and what was it?

If you've had him for almost a year and he's only eaten twice for you, you should try live.

A full grown BP can go a year without eating, but hatchlings need food to grow and develop.

If they don't eat what you want them to eat, you need to feed them what they will eat.

It is okay to use pine bedding for snakes.
It is okay to feed live food to snakes.

If your setup/ husbandry is fine, you need to feed it whatever it will eat. My pickiest eater does not eat anything that isn't an ASFR, so be prepared to offer various prey.

    Re: Super picky eater

The last thing he ate was a frozen thaw rat pup about 3-4 weeks ago I switched him orver from live mid summer. He did this last year. I still offer him food ( I have other snakes I can give it too so I'm not wasting)
