It was a good Christmas. Busy. We have a storm on the way, and had to get ready for that.
I paid for a snake yesterday. It should be coming within two weeks. Very excited.

    Tomorrow, however, will be sad.
Favorite milk going to butcher first thing in the morning.
We won't be breeding her again, and she is hopelessly mean to the new goat. I have to keep them separate at all times, and that won't work long term.

Sorry about your goat, Our Family had a Blast no snake talk inside the house Mama Payne is scared to death, meanwhile we had a great conversation out side.. I have some xmas money And its Shopping Time .... I have been looking at Coral Glow Balls and Coral/Cinnamon and Banana/combos they are all so pretty and I'm kinda looking at Boas as in the smaller ones like Hog Island I would love some input as I would be new to a Boa I've Read And Read and now I really wanting to talk if any Members also have a Boa who could share the pros and cons. Hog Islands aren't a smaller boa, they get the same size as Colombians. They average 5'-6', and max out at 8'. I've never personally seen someone with an adult Hog over 3-4 years old that was under 6'. They also aren't as common. The 6'+ sizes aren't common, but it's entirely possible for a Hog to reach 7', and 8' seems to be about as common as a 9' Colombian. That's to say, it's very very rare, but happens on occasion.

If you want to have a small boa, look into Nicaraguans, Caulker Cay, or Crawl Cay boas, they generally stay 3'-5'.

As far as my Christmas, I had to close Christmas Eve, and was expecting an absolute crazy night, but it went well. Halloween night was way worse.

My T12's arrived Christmas Eve as well, but I'm having a hard time finding someone with a screw/drill gun, as the people who said they did have one are now saying they never had one in the first place. Which would have been nice to know in September rather than have me believe they had one this entire time. -.- Ugh.

My grandfather was also supposed to send us Christmas money, but the post office sent them back for no obvious reason, so gonna have to wait on that.

I've been able to relax, and I'm paying off two new snakes to arrive in the spring, so overall I'd say it's been a good Christmas holiday season despite that.

    Thanks.
Tried hard not to cry in front of the butcher when he came to collect her.
Well, it is not the first time he has seen me cry.

New goat is doing very well, and gets along fine with the other two.

    RIP Elsbeth.

Cloud I've been busy with more research on Boa constrictor , some of these get huge I looked at the dwarfs and they to get pretty long but my understanding is they are smaller in Body size. I'm thinking about waiting a bit on a Boa I wish I could see and handle one in person, the Brazilian Rainbow is pretty I don't know we will see.. Im thinking a Coral Glow or Coral Cinnamon glow BP

A true dwarf locale should stay about the same length as a ball python, but with half the girth. Look at Nics, Caulker Cay, and Crawl Cay. If you want a truly small boa, stay away from Hog Islands, their average size is comparable to Colombians, and even they have the potential to reach 8' (it would be like a Colombian reaching 9' though -very rare but there's a chance). They average 5'-6'.

Whatever you choose I'm sure it will be a good choice.
