Super Black Pastel vs. Super Cinnamon vs. 8-Ball
ok of these all black patternless BP's - Super Black Pastel, Super Cinnamon and 8-Ball - which do you prefer? which would be better for breeding and combos?
at their basic form, i could tell the difference between the Black Pastel and Cinnamon. it gets harder at their Super forms. however i do see more splotches and paradoxing in the Super Cinnys and 8-Balls.
i am thinking about a blue sky long term project of making Blizzards and/or Pandas. i understand the risks of deformities of these Super forms and want to start with a Super free of duckbilling, kinks, etc. and their basic morph that is het. Albino or Pied.
anyway which Super do u prefer? which has the greater potential? or are the similarities all too small?
edit: ugh, why am i awake so early? i should be sleeping in.

I prefer black to the brown, so I'd just look for the blackest super I could, which normally tends to be the black pastel.

I'm aiming for Blizzards myself so I got black pastel/pastel Toast to grow up and breed in the future. But prior, I like cinnamons better as the base morph and in many combos. I have seen more duckbill-less supers in the black pastel/cinny super than with blk pastel supers or cinny supers... but this is strictly my own observations, not any type of established research or surveyed information.

both base morph make nice combos. for example, i like the Black Magic and the Cinnamon Banana of each. and ah yes, i think peeps should track the deformities so we can measure our odds like how we can calculate our odds for certain morphs from a pairing.

They all seem to brown out to some degree, just some do it more or less. From what I've seen super cinnys tend to be more brown compared to super black pastels. But that doesn't always hold true as a blanket statement.
I've heard quite the range of ratios of problem animals, anywhere from 1 in 50 animals to 1 in 3 animals. Assuming people aren't lying I would assume there is either external factors at play or polygenetic traits at play. Neither could be calculated.

'Nuff said.

She's now North of 2300g and I suspect building after being paired with a 1.0 Pied. She was only 1655g when I took this picture.

OMGoodness!
i just learned that Super Cinnys make Grey Matters. these:

i wonder is a Super Black Pastel would have the same affect when paired with a Champagne. i have a Black Pastel Champagne girl already.

I prefer the Super cinnamon, I missed out on a lovely looking one Love cinnamon ball pythons and that rusty red blushing!
The Super black pastel champagne is On World of Ball Pythons and funnily enough looks like a panda pied, well the hatchling pictured does so.

Well not exactly. First off, those are 3 gene animals. A Super bred to a Champagne won't get you those results. You need 2 Cinny or Black Pastel genes plus the Champagne to get those results. As for doing this with a SBP instead of a SC, sure. The result just gives you more black instead of grey.
