Thermostat for oil heater
Hey,
Just bought a DeLonghi oil filled radiant heater to up the ambient room temps. I am looking for a reasonably priced thermostat to regulate. Would a basic Hydrofarm model be appropriate? I want something pre-wired and ready to go.
thanks!

I also actually just came across this thermostat that is meant to be used in conjunction with oil filled heaters.

What is the power draw for the heater? It should be listed somewhere on the unit.
I have a Ranco t-stat I use for my electric heater because it will handle 1500W and the probe cord is super long. I can run the probe to a different corner of the room than the heater to ensure the temperature is based on the circulating air from the ceiling fan.

The heater you bought should max out at 1500w if its the same one I have.
Make sure the thermostat handles at lease the max output.

I have that exact thermostat on the way to control an IR heater, has generally good reviews, I think it gets here today if you'd like my impressions of it once it does.
