BP passed
Today I came home and my gorgeous hypo-pastave had passed. She had some scales that appeared to be browning on her belly that i was doing betadine baths every other day and using a small amount of bacitracin on. Appeared that it was getting better, until yesterday she was shriveled pale and elevating her head. noticed some saliva and though maybe RI however no bubbles and no weezing... Had began to shed under the chin so i was hoping she was just in process ... refused food (assumed because of shed) but tried anyways.
The other dozen look healthy no issues at all.
I have been using the same treatment for a head cut on its brother and he's almost completely healed, nice and healthy.
really sucks...not knowing what it was or what i could have done otherwise, ya know. I was going to give her until one shed until I went to a herp vet. since i just started treating it about 2 weeks back i figured it would pass with this shed :/

I'm sorry.
You have a nice collection listed in your signature. I would definitely get a necropsy done to determine whether or not what she had was contagious.

I considered it but I think i'm going to just keep an eye out, this was the only snake with any signs of infection or otherwise and had some strange habits from day 1... she had like a kinked structure almost like broken bones through her backside . I wonder if it was a birth defect and caught up. Also the closest herp is a haul from here and expensive.
Im going to save the $$ in case I need it for any of the LIVE animals.
Thanks for the condolences friend.

I'm sorry that happened...
I also think have a necropsy done is ideal, especially since you still don't know what it was. Better safe than sorry, for the sake of the rest of your collection.
