I second the plexiglass idea. We used it on all three of our exo terra enclosures. Doing that, using a large water bowl directly under the heat lamp and using aspen bedding keeps humidity between 60 and 70% when it is 30-40% ambient here in Az.
Lowe's sells the plexiglass and cuts it for you. I think the sheet cost me 26 dollars and they cut it for free.
