I decided to try my hand at breeding BP this year but none of my snakes were big enough to breed except my male mojave so my friend found someone selling an 1800g female cinnamon mojave but the only time she was available to meet up was while i was at work so i gave him the money to get her a f when i went to pick her up from him i found out that she had recently been attacked by a rat and it chewed on her eye pretty good and she had a layer of dead skin over her eye when i first got her. I kept her for a while and when she shed that layer of dead skin came off like i expected it would but im pretty sure she is now blind in that eye. I have had her fkr about 2 months now and i havent got her to eat anything since ive had her. She seems alot less stressed out than when i first got her but shes still refusing to eat so i figure since she hasnt ate for a few months she probably wont be breeding this year. Now if i would have known that she had the injury i probably would have passed on her and tried to find a different snake but by the time i found out it was already a done deal and she was mine. So im wondering, if they get attacked by a rat and refuse food for a while she should eventually get back to feeding normally right? One of my other friends has a normal that got attacked by a rat and he said it hasnt ate since and hes getting worried it will never eat on its own again cuz it seems scared of the rats now. And if she does go back on food eventually is she still ok to breed or will she possibly refuse to breed for the rest of her life? Im starting to think this was a bad investment and that i may never get eggs out of her but maybe im wrong. Supposedly shes a "proven breeder" but considering that she didnt tell the whole truth about the snakes health and didnt tell us it had injuries untill he was actually there to pick up the snake i dont know if i even believe her word that shes a "proven breeder"
