I held a snake for the first time!
Yesterday I was able to hold a snake for the very first time, and it happened to be a gorgeous corn snake. I was absolutely thrilled to hold him and I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would!

It took a while but the guy watching over the snake finally got me to let him go lol

Thank you! My mother actually made the scarf, she gets upset (with good reason) whenever I don't wear the stuff she makes, I wear it almost everyday now haha. The snake actually tried to get into my scarf

Congratulations! I remember the first one I held... it was nothing like I expected it to be. I expected a wet, slimey feel. Not the case at all... so now that you've held one... when will you be getting one?

I grew up catching wild garter snakes and turning them loose again - but the first 'pet' snake I ever held, when I was 12 years old, was a 12-foot albino Burmese Python named 'Baby', at an educational display in a local mall. I wanted snakes ever since - just maybe not quite that big. Finally managed to get my first pet snakes at the start of this year... 27 years later.

Just a warning !
A while back whilst buying tropical fish in the local pet store - an assistant ( who knew me well ) kinda placed a beaut 24" Butter corn snake into my hands as it had messed its viv up .
The next day I went back and bought a Snow corn plus set-up !!
Years later I've got 21 various types of SNAKES !!

I actually expected to be afraid of his head or not like the feel, but that was not the case at all and I actually liked how he held on, it made me feel like he was secure. And to answer your question, I am hoping to get my first snake this summer, after holding a corn snake I'm heavily leaning towards getting one.
