    Survey of heating your racks

I was just curious what certain people prefer on their racks. Figured I would do a little survey. Do you prefer underbelly heat tape placement, placing it vertically down your whole rack, or no tape and keeping the ambient temp up in your snakes location.

Belly heat with back heat on standby for when the ambient temps fall too low.

One thing g I dontunderstand, is why companies use 3 or 4 inch tape on 41qt racks. Unless the room is heated, that's not enough. Why not 11 or 12?

Why do you think it's not enough if those companies have been successful doing so?

78-80 ambient with belly heat. I run 3-4 inch tape on my larger racks with no issues.
