    Bonnie the ball

    Hello,
This is not my first snake but my first ball python. I am glad I have some experience with less temperamental species than P. regius so I could make most of my mistakes with more durable animals. I have always had an interest in genetics and animals and it doesn't get more interesting than ball pythons. I wanted snakes as child but was not allowed by my mother who had a unreasonable fear of them. As I got older the want was lost for all the happenings of a young adult life. I can not remember how it happened, but about four years ago I found a picture of piebald ball python, and was rendered amazed. At the time they were far too expensive for my taste, so I ended up with a corn snake and the collection grew from there. While searching for affordable pieds I discovered the stunningly beautiful and affordable morph called Kingpin. Last weekend my wife and I went to a local reptile expo. I brought to because keep me honest as she criticizes what I sometimes also worry is becoming an addiction. We found a female kingpin from the Colorado Reptile company that I fell in love with immediately. To my surprise the wife was also grabbed by this little girl. The vendor offered to let me hold her and I was doomed to bring her home. At some point in the future I would really like to breed her. Let me know what you think for her.

    Welcome to the forum.
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. It does not matter one way or another, but are her white sides normal for a kingpin? All the kingpins I have seen including her mother have brown further down their sides.
