Normal? Banded? Can't wrap my head around this

Recently bougt two females. One normal, and one ''banded''
The ''baded'' is definetly prettier than tha ''normal'', but is she really a banded? What IS a banded? Genetic? Reccecive? Dominant? Line-bred?
