Still locked after 12 hrs
Last night I experienced my first lock. I came home at 6:00 and they were locked. I had to go to bed around 9:30 and they were still locked so I figured I would separate them this morning. It has been over 12 hrs since they first locked and still they are locked. My problem is is it is feeding day and I am not too sure what to do. Obviously I cannot remove the male at this point, I will have to wait but how much longer should I expect this to go on? If they do unlock sometime today (which they should right, over 12 hrs is a long time?) should I still offer them food or should I wait till next week? Out of all my research I never knew it would take so long for them to "do it". I was told only a max of a few hours so I am getting a little worried. Any Advice?

Locks can last anywhere from a few hours all the way to 24 hours or more. Nothing abnormal here.
Simply wait until they are done than separate and feed.

If it makes you feel better, mine have been going at it for 12 hours plus at this point. You're not the only one that was starting to wonder.

Thanks guys/ladies. After 26hrs they finally unlocked. I immediately separated the male from the female. This male does not have any other potential mates so they both will get three weeks off. I am skipping their feeding for today and feeding them tomorrow. I have always "read" that they usually only lock for a few hours... never imagined it would last over one full day.

Re: Still locked after 12 hrs
The time elapsed during breeding is very variable and can last up to and beyond 24 hrs. Especially if you happen to miss any breaks or unlocks. Totally normal. Don't worry about the feeding schedule either bc they both may refuse food anyway. Especially the male.
Stay in peace and not pieces.

This is where I am a very lucky keeper as my males eat often during breeding season
