    Hides too big?

17 inches is huge. My 7-8 foot Coastal Carpet fits into 9 1/2 inch water dish that is tapered.

My 5 ft female BP has a 9 inch long half log. It's about 5-6 inches wide and tapers very quickly height wise due to being half circle in depth. When she wants to, she can get 90-95 % covered.

I hear quite often here how these hides suck. But considering that she never had a hide for her first 11 years it is a nonissue. Temperament is great as well as eating, sans yearly hunger strike. (Just mentioning this for the husbandry police ). I have wasted a good amount of money on hides not big enough. I want a natural looking one.

The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

Please excuse the spelling in my posts. Auto-Correct is my worst enema.
