reptile rescue
Hey everybody!
Well this weekend was the Wasatch Reptile Expo. It was a great show. Not as big as I had hoped, but you deffinately cant complain. My bp.net hat and pin didnt ship in time I guess they had some problems making them or somthing, but they are comping the shipping and I should get them today.
Well we have some new additions to the family!
I came home with a very nice looking garden phase ATB. Let me tell ya, when people say they have a nippy temperment, they arent kidding! lol.
I got tagged at the show looking at one. The thing lunged at my wifes head three times (luckily, they have bad aim) and tagged me once in the 2 minutes I was holding him.
I ended up getting a different one, but he is no calmer!
I had my heart set on one, but no one had any captive borns. So I ended up with a wild caught from LLL. They said he is well established and has had no problems. Ill schedule a vet trip in the next few weeks anyway to get him treated for internal parasites. I wanna let him settle in first. Ill get you guys some pictures soon, but for now, you'll just have to take my word for it. He is a very beautiful snake, and I am a very happy boy
My wife ended up getting three red eyed tree frogs. They are cute little guys. We spent about 3 weeks building their enclosure and I must say, It turned out very well. Ill get you guys a picture of them soon too.
The frogs are named Ned Rod and Tod.
I havnt decided on the ATB yet. Anyone have any good suggestions?

Great new additions man. Good luck with the wc ATB. I'm seriously considering getting an ATB myself. I'm terrible at names tho . Cant wait to see some pics

Compadres, it is imperative that we crush the freedom fighters before the start of the rainy season. And remember, a shiny new donkey for whomever brings me the head of Colonel Montoya.

How much did you pay for the snake? I am thinking of getting one, and a local pet store has some definate CBB ones, but I am wondering if their price is fair.

I paid 39 for a wc. Their price varies quite a bit depending on the color. The red, orange, and yellow tend to cost double what the olive and garden phases cost. If you look around at online breeders, a cbb garden or olive neonate tends to run around $40-50. While the high end colors run around $100-150.
But as Im sure you know, pet stores tend to put a high margin on their pets due to feeding, houseing, and lease costs so you pay quite a bit more. I would expect to pay around $70 for the plain colors and $150 for the high end colors at a pet store...

I know you're probably letting him alone to get used to his new surroundings .. but when are we gonna see some pics?
