    Kiyohime

Kiyohime, my husband's orange ghost, finally ate last night! (happy dance, happy dance) He got her over a month ago, and she steadfastly refused to take f/t mice or rats. Even though she's only lost a few grams, we really should have tried live sooner.

Earlier photo showing the stuck eye cap she came to us with - a snake sauna fixed that, and helped her confidence a lot.

    STRIKE! (lucky lucky shot)

    Om nom nom nom nom.

Yes, this feeding was in a smaller tub, I wanted to be able to keep a close eye on things since I had no idea how she'd react to live food.

Good looking snake. Love the first picture!
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

    Re: Kiyohime

Kiyo's confidence has taken a huge jump since she ate. She's un-ballimg and exploring almost immediately, instead of having to be waited for or coaxed- although there are certainly worse ways to spend time than relaxing on the couch with a ball python tucked in your shirt on your chest.

Yesterday she even explored Tommy Trouble, who had insisted it was lap time:

    Tommy was oblivious.

*After* Tommy hopped down Kiyo decided he was a Scary Monster and got defensive:

    Silly snake.
