How Can I Keep My Ball Python Warm While Moving?
I'm moving and it's going to be a 6-7 hour trip in the late fall.
I'm planning on putting her in a plastic rubber maid container with holes in it.
I'm not sure of the best way to keep her warm.
Is there such a thing as battery operated heating pads that I could put underneath the container?
Does anybody have any suggestions?

You could likely get away with nothing but the Rubbermaid so long as she's in the car with you at comfortable temp in the 70s. If it's going to be too cold and your concerned you could order a heat pack from ship your reptiles and box it up that way.

Make sure the container isn't too large so she doesn't go rolling about in the tub, or bag(pillowcase) her to help keep her protected and a bit warmer. For that short a time, you should be fine without any extra heating, so long as you pre-heat the car so it's not too cold when you climb in, and keep it nice and warm the whole way there. If you need food, do a drive through, if you need the bathroom, make it quick and if you can keep the car running and warm, even better. You may have to adjust instructions depending on the outside weather. Your profile doesn't say where you are.

Snake bag or pillow case + shipping box or styrofoam cooler + heat pack (shipping type if necessary, that depend on how cold you like to keep your car when travelling)

I'm in Canada. Yeah my car isn't great for heat. It provides some, like enough for in the low 70's range.
Do you know if there are any heat packs safe & cool enough to put in her container with her?

I'll have a folded blanket in her container with her as well so she can burrow into. I won't do a pillowcase because last time she rubbed her nose raw trying to get out of it.

could you pick up an inverter that plugs into the cig lighter (accessory plug) and power a small heat pad. I know I have a small one that I got for the kids to play xbox on road trips that is rated for 150 watts so a UTH should be fine on it

Here's the heat packs. The same company also sells boxes and snake bags if you decide that route. Make sure you check out the directions for the heat packs.
