    Looking for a BEL

    Hey folks!

It's been a while but I've expanded my BP collection from one to two, and now I'm looking to get myself a lovely little BEL. Male or female doesn't matter to me, but I'd really like to go with a smaller breeder as opposed to a big name one. Someone who really cares for their animals!

I'm not sure what to expect in terms of price bc everywhere I've looked so far has been showing me 2015 BELs in the range of 800-1000$ USD and that seems a touch high to me? If I'm wrong, then by all means let me know, I'd just like to know what one should expect to pay for a baby.

Any input you can give me or breeders you can direct me towards would be a huge help!

    Re: Looking for a BEL

I sold my bels last year for $350-450, 800-1000 is a pretty big jump to me.

Considering that the recipe for BEL's has been known for years it's not hard to find babies locally. Try the reptile classifieds on Facebook for your area, or local expos. If you're concerned about the seller's reputation then do some research first, either on Fauna, or on the Facebook groups "FBI - Feedback and Inquiries for Reptiles" or "Herpetoculture Feedback and Inquiry". Even a Google search on the seller's name plus key words like "scam", "thief", or "mites" can yield results.

I just have to say 800-1000$ is way too high. Even in my country they go for 400-500 euros, 500 euros converted is $465.

Hatchlings you are looking at $350 to $500 depending on the sex and the type of BEL
