Used to love Salmon fishing in the Upper Peninsula of MI with fly rods. We'd use a skirted jig and keep working past their noses. It would take a while to get one to hit it so it'd be a fair catch but man when you did, you were in for a great time. Most times it would be a twenty to thirty minute fight to get it landed. Oh, like your choice of dog as well. We have a red as well as a black and tan long haired dachshund. They are PIAs with their incessant barking, but you gotta love 'em.
