    That's awesome, after 2 years my childrens still strikes at me every time I reach in, once he is out of his cage he is fine though.

    A little of both, I don't lift him by the hook I use it to guide his head away while I reach in and pick him up, sometimes he darts around the hook pretty quickly or doubles back on me.

    Yeah they are fast, in fact I'd say the fastest Snake that I own.
