Sounds like a smart idea to me As far as tank size goes ... corns dont usually get bigger than 5' and i would go by the 1 square foot of floor space to 1 foot of snake. I've never had a corn, so i'm not too sure how fast they grow. I think the 10 gal would work for a while at least.
