    The most I ever find around here (here being the golden horseshoe) are Garter snakes. Which my mother still insists are different from Gardener snakes.
    It's a Copperhead, I usually find several a year, but I also do a lot of hiking and running.

    Here are a few more of various critters from this past summer/last summer.

    Massive Timber Rattler Shed


    Juvenile Red Bellied Snake



    Ratsnake


    Some sort of Skink


    Another Boxie



    Ridiculously photogenic Common Snapper.
