Time between dropping eggs and pairing again

keeping my eye on this one as I have a Mojave female who laid eggs end of may this year and wondering when I should start pairing her again

That's what makes these forums great is we can all learn together.

There is no set time but I personally like to give them 5 to 6 months before pairing again granted they put all the weight back on + more.

Originally I was planning on waiting 6 months and will probably still do so. It was just that she recovered her weight back so quickly and that would mean I wouldn't begin pairing her until January. There's nothing wrong with that other than it is late in the season and it could mean hatchlings may come late enough to miss the shipping window for the following season.

I have had one female produce twice for me in a single year (2 clutches of eggs that were nine months apart) I typically don't pair them up again until they're close to gaining back the weight that they had previously.

That is pretty quick. Like I said she has already gained all of the weight back, plus some and it has only been 3 months since she laid last. I just wasn't sure if clutches so close together would tax her system too much.
