    Mine actually is less active when he nears feed day so far. I know he's ready when he sits there with just his head poking out of his hide like a little stalker waiting for a delicious rat to walk by. If I even put my hand in the cage at that point he comes charging out coiled and ready to strike (so I better have some food to drop off).

    He has the same routine when he finishes eating too. Comes out for a quick sip of water and then doesn't come out of his warm hide for a good two days.
