Inheriting a boa

So I'm picking up a boa today from a fried of a friend who apparently is 10 years old and around 6 foot. She got the animal from someone who really didn't know much about snakes and since I have other large constructors she figured I'd be a better keeper. I'm fully prepared to care for the snake, I just wonder if she's undersized for a boa that age? I know boas grow slow compared to retics and such, but that seems really small to me.

She looks fine. I have a 2008 Arabesque female that is only 4' long that I got this past summer.

Guess I'm just so used to my big pythons growth rates lol, I've got a green anaconda who's a year old and about 5 foot do I just wasn't sure boa constrictor growth rate was

Boa's grow slower. I think there is a slower feed rate for them as well, but I wouldn't quote me on that one. BP gal here.

Congrats on the new pick up! She looks very nice. That is a fine size for her age. Boas grow slower, should be fed slower and live longer when slow grown. My first boa was an adoption, 9yrs old and 5 ft, she is now 26yrs old and between 8-8.5'; they continue to grow their entire lives. Good luck with your new girl!

I'm a giant python guy so I'm used to tiny to huge in 6 months lol.
