Thanks all. I am loving the Morelia experience. They are so much fun to watch. My guys are never on the floor of the enclosure. They're always perching or roaming 'in the trees'.
@ Fire- I don't think he's still hungry but you never know. He's 37g and I usually feed him a 4-6g mouse fuzzy every 5 days. This last feeding I gave him a small 8g rat fuzzy. After I offered it to him I thought it might be too large. I started to take it away from him but didn't want to hurt him or stress him out. After 10 minutes of trying I thought he might give up and spit it out but he didn't. It took him a while to get past the head and shoulders but after that it was smooth sailing. My yearling coastal was on more of a maintenance diet with the breeder and he weighs about 140g now. He was 85g when I got him 6 weeks ago. I was feeding him 18g rat fuzzys. The breeder said to try him with a jumbo mouse. I thought no way he could handle a jumbo but I'm sure Nick Mutton knows a LOT more about carpets than I do so I gave it a try. He smashed a 30g jumbo mouse with no problem. I'm amazed at the prey size they can take down. As far as temperament, neither the jungle nor the coastal have ever struck at me so far. The jungle is always hanging out at night. The coastal is a bit shy and hides a lot but he has been coming out more the last few days.
