    snake show today !

I was able to get some pics inbetween guard duty this weekend and put them in a folder on my webserver here at home. I had posted about looking for normal females for breeding in another topic...these are what I purchased. The breeder is out of North Dakota and was just awesome to work with. I ended up buying a yearling and hatchling from this year. The photos are labled accordingly, there are less pics of the yearling as she is still a bit aggressive and decided to start attacking me after the first couple shots despite the efforts to keep her calm and not move around her to quickly. Oh and tossed in a pic from one of my mouse tubs...matching pregnant mice about to explode any day now!

P.S. I only resized them down to 640pixels wide to give more of a visual effect of their size.[/url]

Compadres, it is imperative that we crush the freedom fighters before the start of the rainy season. And remember, a shiny new donkey for whomever brings me the head of Colonel Montoya.

SemperFi, I'm in the Army National Guard...I could probably guess that you are a Marine

Thanks for the comments, I'm pretty happy with the way they look. And they were well fed which makes me happy. The 04 seems pretty cool headed and calms down after she realizes there is no danger when I take her out. The 03 will have to work on. I'm not going to handle them much untill probably next weekend or the week after untill I feel they are settled a bit more. Both are very active in their tubs which is good to see.

Oh and I checked in on the mice this morning and those two mice both poped last night....I don't even know how many babies their are yet...but its a big pile! More food!

    Congratulations on the new females!!!

There are lots of Canadian breeders that you could buy from. Hatchling females go for $125CDN and yearlings for $150CDN based on what I've seen. It's shipping via Air Canada heated cargo that will cost you an arm and a leg. Westjet is a bit cheaper, but I don't know if it's as reliable.

Looks like I'm not the only one with breeding ambitions!
~40 Ball Pythons (mostly Freeway/Asphalt, Bongo, GHI, and Leopard combos)
3.8.3 Green Tree Pythons (mostly TM/TW blueline, a few Highland/Wamena)
    1.2 Children's Pythons
    1.2 Cay Caulker Boas
    1.2 Black Fuli House Snakes
1.0.4 Amazon Tree Boas (1x tiger, 3x halloween garden, 1x garden)

that's cool, i'm just starting out so normals are fine for me. Although I do tend to look for the ones that have brighter color and nice patterns.

Still debating on weather to sell the 04 female, I could just keep her and resell her when she's older when everyone is looking for adult females...but by then i would want to use her for that myself.
