    Perfect shed...yay!!!

My girl Xena who came to me with a nasty burn on her belly. She had one really bad shed. ..eye caps took forever to come off. And when they did...i thought there was something wrong with her eyes....nope ...she was immediately going into another shed...this time i bumped the humidity way up to 75 -80% it worked she had a perfect shed and the burn on her belly is nearly gone.just a bit on her tail whoch was the worst part. She looks amazing. I will get a pic later. But i cannot begin to tell you how incredibly happy i am to see her looking so good. Being fairly new to snakes i was worried i wouldnt do the right things for her and her burn. Apparently I must be doing okay.

It seems like a little thing, but it does feel great when they do it. Congrats.

    Re: Perfect shed...yay!!!

Well done! She looks so much better. I too recently took in a female that had a REALLY bad burn, she had similar problems with her first shed and I’m now waiting for her to shed again so that I can do a happy dance just like you while I look at a healed belly. I saw the post where you first showed her shed, thanks for keeping us updated on what looks to be a great success story!
