    Some customer stories...

So, one of my customers comes in weekly for her snakes and today was different. She was pacing waiting for me, and started to cry when she saw me. Apparently, one of them escaped into the house. She felt so bad. I told her all the ways to look and some success stories and she seemed to cheer up, and I also assured her there are a lot of keepers who have had this happen and to double check her enclosure for security.
    Which brings me to this..
I have another customer who has a python from our store. I was off for 2 days and found out one had been sold by a not so experienced associate. This gentleman(customer) 'does not believe in cages' and thus let's the snake roam the back porch as he pleases. I have told him time and time again to get a simple tub setup but he won't budge. He often wonders why the snake will not eat. He also expressed concern over the fact HIS FEEDERS ARE EXPLODING. He claims the snake gets overzealous and rips the feeder in half...and then the next week won't eat. I try very hard to be nice to him but some times I get very close to losing my mind. On top of this, his most recent visit he told me he caught a Cuban Knight Anole and released it on the SAME porch. I'm mortified and insisted he separate them. He also said the snake has bitten him and constricted during feeding 'and traumatized the kids'.
Don't you love the 2 different types of parents going on here? We have a good one and a bad. 😧

It's a big box store. It's their business to make money. What happens after the deal is struck is completely on the customer.

And the customer is always right... right?

SC, all you can do is your best.
I could never work in a pet store. I've volunteered in two animal shelters, but stayed completely away from the adoptions.

    People are just crazy.

It is the only job that isn't making me want to jump off a cliff although it has its moments. ..

When I worked at an exotic bird store, we had a crazy lady that would buy cheap birds then let them go in the parking lot. We live in minnesota. We stopped selling to her after we saw it our selves. She let a parakeet go free in the fall in minnesota.

I wonder if he is feeding f/t and if so, how is he heating them up? If you overheat a feeder, it'll pop (and it is disgusting lol)

I'm surprised that he is even heating up the feeders at all!
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.
