    Humidity questions

Which helps maintain humidity a little better ceramic heat or bulbs? I've read bulbs dry air faster and ceramic heat is is safer but dries air just as fast. No humidifier. I spray mist and have it at around 60% during day and 45% at night. I have a small dish of water on hot side to keep at 45% and bowl of water on cool side.

They both are going to dry it out. How much will depend on what watt you are using and how the cage is setup.

I prefer a CHE over a bulb. I have a CHE that I was using in a previous set up that was on 365 days a year 24/7. It had been going or over 2 years when I unplugged it. If you use them correctly they are far cheaper than bulbs in the long run.

    Too many other factors too.
How much of your screened top do you have covered?

    Re: Humidity questions

On all 3, I got half the covering acrylic and the other half screen. My set ups work just fine for me and my snakes. I just asked which is better, nothing more. I got my answer and I'm satisfied with that. Good day
