    Help identifying...

Some of you probably remember me asking about my ball python Marshall. Now that he's about a year old, I think there is a better chance of identifying whatever he may be. Basically no history on him, other than he was sold to me as a pastel. He has a very defined head stamp, and seems to have a wobble when feeding. Please excuse the small ding on his head, he got that from squeezing himself through the too small gap between the sliding glass doors...

Yes I thought about that as well. He seems too dark for a fire, they are much lighter I thought. I almost see disco, but the chances of him being a disco are very slim, I don't see a lot of discos around here.

Another thing that confuses me is that he has a wobble. I tried to video it, but he got scared and went back in his hide. He doesn't look like any of the morphs that carry the wobble gene in my opinion. If anyone has some insight as to what's going on here, it would be greatly appreciated.

First thing that comes to mind with the blushing, the spot and the belly is a Yellow Belly. How bad is the wobble, is it spider bad or is he just swaying slightly side to side when he is coiling up to strike?

I don't think he's a yb. But he sure does have an interesting belly with all of those little spots. Is it possible to see a belly shot? Btw your snake has the most adorable face, just had to say it.

    Re: Help identifying...

Yes at first glance he does look quite similar to a yellowbelly, but his belly isn't clear. The wobble is mild, his head starts spinning while he is eating and after he eats, going in small slow circles. I will get a better belly shot. Thank you FluppleWott, I must say I completely agree!
