What helps more is betadine soaks 1:10 concentration. Meaning 1 part betadine to 10 parts warm water (approx. 80f -85f). Soaking in water that only covers the ventral scales is sufficient. The water should be tea colored as another way to gauge the proper concentration. This is by no means a alternative to the proper veterinary consultation and confirmation of the proper diagnosis. If its truly scale rot then it may require alternate or additional treatments. Good luck .
