    The Sable

    Hey everyone,

    there is a guy here in Holland selling 2 Sable het. Hypo females.

    Now I am wondering is a Sable a good thing/worth having in your collection?

    there seem to be some nice combo's but there aren't that many combo's with Sable on there and I don't see them being offered a lot, to be honest this is the first time I see them for sale.

    37 morphs with sable listed on here;

    I don't think they bring much to the ghost gene mind you and I seem to recall someone saying they don't mix well with spider?

    But I quite like that they can do mixed with a lesser.

    yeah there are some (37) but a lot are just the same with 1 more gene added, like mojave sable, and then mojave sable YB etc etc.

    and no combo like GHI Sable, Clown sable etc etc

    and I agree it doesn't do something crazy when mixed with hypo though it seems to me they are a little darker then normal hypo's and imagine a Lesser Sable hypo

    I love the sable gene, actually I have 6 of them! Check out the pinstripe super sable! I am shooting for hypo super sables and the fore mentioned in my bins.

    Sable can do some really cool stuff, especially with the Blue Eyed Leucistic stuff. I also like how it works with Pinstripe. I have heard that there can be neurological issues with the super form, and that it also causes problems, or is lethal, with Spider. I think there is some great potential for Sable combinations, but it will take some very careful planning/pairings.

    I think the Sable gene is cool.

    Like has already been said, no Spider cross and it might be a crap shoot if you get a good or bad super. PERSONALLY, I really like
    the Sulfur Sable combo I produced (I think this pic is one of them), but was hesitant to try for a Super form, due to the suspected issues with them. I decided to go
    with Chocolate stuff, which has a wicked Super, and is similar in looks to the Sable. I did like my Sables though...got mine directly from
    the originator, Eric.
